Facebook travel posts

Below are links to some of Mark Ziegler's Facebook posts about his road trips and hikes throughout the beautiful American West.

But first, a few disclaimers ...

1) Unlike the writing samples on portions of this online portfolio site, these Facebook posts are not intended to be poetic prose. They are often done late at night, on a smartphone, in remote areas with spotty internet reception, and with little available time. The objective is to quickly share experiences, impressions and photographs with friends. Many say the photos make them want to visit these places. Others say the posts make them realize that there is indeed life outside of a claustrophobic, deadly pandemic.

2) You'll notice that many of the posts have longer intros, with relatively few captions accompanying the photos. Why? Unfortunately, when uploading large numbers of photographs with Facebook's posting tool, the app often slows to a crawl, making it almost impossible to include long, descriptive captions with the pictures. Ziegler is usually lucky to simply get a post created and "saved" without the Facebook tool "crashing." Thus, the story of each adventure is usually told in the intro copy, with the pictures having to mostly speak for themselves.

3) FYI, all of the below links, as well as this entire portfolio site -- www.MarkZieglerCommunications.com -- are best viewed on a computer or laptop, as opposed to a smaller device.

With the above caveats, please enjoy!
